Amanda has had a varied career - from managing a Backpackers Hostel in Dublin, to setting up Heaton Moor Market, and now as a co-founder of Heatons Post.
Amanda attributes this variety to a liking for new challenges - the main motivation behind her return to The University of Manchester five years ago to complete a Masters Degree in History.
Amanda’s main passion is travel - having backpacked across the globe in her younger years, she now enjoys adventuring and exploring new places with her teenage daughter.
Mel has been project managing international events since 2011, and life before that involved crewing on super yachts and managing ski chalets after graduating with a Spanish and Linguistics degree.
Now settled in Stockport with her family, she launched a local arts, music and culture festival (Heart Of The Heatons) in 2018 and a local film awards for amateur film-makers (SK Film Awards) in 2019 before embarking on Heatons Post.
She’s ‘officially’ an expert project manager but we’d call her a brilliant doer, the one who makes stuff happen with infectious enthusiasm.
